palmOne Case Study: Pepperdine University School of Law

Overview Students enrolled in the Pepperdine University School of Law, Professional Responsibility class, were provided with Palm handhelds as a need was felt for Personal organizer for calendar management and a document delivery tool for course materials. The devices allowed students to distribute course materials and class schedules and familiarize themselves with fundamental business tools found in today's high-tech law firms. Using the Palm handheld students download course materials from a central server, manage their schedules, contacts and course obligations, and communicate with one another. This has resulted in simplified data storage and retrieval and optimal efficiency in the school.
