CCTC Among First Colleges to Provide Wireless Web Access Via Palm Handhelds

Overview The Central Carolina Technical College wanted to provide wireless access to the school's website for academic, financial, administrative, and other functions. To enable this it utilized Palm wireless handheld with Palm.Net wireless service. This enabled the students and others to find important information whenever they need it from wherever they have wireless access. In addition, the CCTC community can use a Palm handheld rather than a more costly and less convenient PC to apply for admission, browse course catalogs, check degree and program information and more.
