palmOne Case Study: Spokane Public Schools

Overview The Spokane Public Schools wanted to provide its students with technology tools so that they can spend more time composing music rather than waiting for computer stations. They utilized Palm handheld computers, Swivel Systems SG20 tone module clips (miniature MIDI synthesizers), stereo headphone jack, Sony Discman headphones and various Palm applications. The benefits of which were that it puts more technology into students' hands, allowing them to spend more time composing. It also provided a fun way for students to learn complex musical concepts and encouraged students to experiment with their musical compositions.
