Computer Testing Equipment White Papers

Increasing Server Performance and Capacity

Overview This paper presents result of an exercise, which took place to examine how Scapa StressTest for Thin Client can be used in conjunction with AppSense Performance Manager to improve user experience of Thin Client systems by a measurable amount. Performance Manager was used to "clamp" a rogue process, which had been adversely affecting the user experience in Citrix ICA sessions, while Scapa StressTest measured the improvement in the overall user experience as a result of the clamping. The tests were also used to prove that clamping rogue processes could result in an increase in the number of active concurrent users supported by a single server.
