Overview As director of information systems at the Richmond, Va., law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, Donna Sutton faces the challenge of keeping the firm's nearly 60 lawyers busy helping clients. Her requirements were fast, reliable PCs, bulletproof servers, superb local service, streamlined purchasing and a computing company that acts like a business partner, not a supplier. When Sutton joined the 140-year-old firm in 1998, she was convinced that the purchase of ProLiant servers to run file, print and Microsoft Exchange applications was a step in the right direction. The firm had already experienced great success using an HP 9000 server for its time and billing system.
