Novell Case Study: Wells Fargo & Company

Overview During the four-month Y2K freeze in late 1999 through early 2000, Wells Fargo’s Corporate Network Services division received challenging news from the group responsible for the institution's wide area network. They were asking Wells Fargo to remove IPX from the WAN. To make the move to pure IP, Wells Fargo resolved to migrate to NetWare 5. However, they knew to completely migrate all of their sites would take them close to one year with their current resources. To help speed things up, they decided to turn to Novell Consulting. Novell Consulting created a special upgrade CD customized for Wells Fargo. The upgrade CD would greatly simplify and speed up the migration.
