Overview Disaster recovery is the restoration of mission-critical technology applications, business units, and personnel following events such as extreme weather conditions, power/communications failure, and terrorist acts. While some organizations have had comprehensive disaster recovery plans in place for years, many other organizations began implementing disaster recovery plans to mitigate Y2K risks and have not revisited them since. This paper suggests some best practices for disaster recovery.
