Banco do Brasil Reduces Costs and Improves Resilience with a Disaster Recovery Solution From IBM

Overview With an international network of 37 branches in 21 countries, and correspondent banking services with nearly 1,000 top banks in 145 countries, Banco do Brasil is a significant player in world banking. It wanted to reduce the cost of managing Europe-wide banking systems, and implement a disaster recovery solution. To ensure swift, reliable restoration of the consolidated systems, Banco do Brasil needed to upgrade its disaster recovery (DR) capabilities, and has now implemented another i820 in a remote site to mirror its main production systems. IBM Global Financing provided this server on a lease, offering maximum cost-effectiveness for Banco do Brasil.
