Novell Case Study: GE Capital Bank

Overview Recently GE Capital decided to bet on NT in data processing throughout the world. In Austria, that meant combining different data processing worlds by merging AVABANK and Mercurbank. In completing the project the heterogeneous operating system environment demanded particular attention: OS/2, Novell 3.11 and NT 4.0 were used for the server and OS/2, Win 3.11, Win 95 and NT 4.0 for the client. Novell Consulting (EMEA Region) drew up a special project study for GE Capital Bank in Austria giving a detailed presentation on how a secure and optimal migration could be effected.
