Leading Australian Bank Standardizes 7,300 Desktops with Novell ZENworks for a Cost Savings of More Than 9 Million Australian Dollars a Year

Overview St. George Bank today is the result of a merger of four different banks - originally, each with a different operating environment. Without a standard desktop environment, employees were free to install new applications and customize their desktops, making it extremely difficult for the helpdesk to provide effective support. St. George Bank needed to standardize its enterprise and make it easier to upgrade and maintain more than 7,300 workstations. St. George Bank selected Novell ZENworks for its policy management capabilities, ease of administration and efficient application distribution. The bank also uses Novell NetWare and Novell eDirectory as its central directory for all user identity information.
