Efficient File Management Helps Perth and Kinross Council Deliver Services Proactively

Overview The Information Systems and Technology group of the Perth and Kinross Council increased the productivity of both end users and the members of the IT staff by replacing a legacy Novell-based client-server network with new servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Deploying the new file server solution and using the Intelligent File Storage capabilities of Windows Server 2003 enabled the council to simplify file server management, reduce IT operations costs, and help both end users and the IT support staff to work more productively.
