Overview Having exhausted the performance and functional capabilities of its existing IT system, HiPP GmbH & Co. Vertrieb KG (HiPP) decided to overhaul its entire IT landscape. To improve customer service and sharpen its competitive edge, it needed faster, easier, more transparent access to detailed customer and market intelligence. It was also looking to drive down hardware costs and increase availability. The solution lay in a consolidated landscape built around SAP's enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution coupled with mySAP Business Intelligence. HiPP decided that an industry-standard, Intel processor-based architecture running on Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 offered the greatest cost efficiencies, scalability, manageability, and integration flexibility in the SAP environment.
