Romania Meets EU Enlargement Criteria with Visa Processing and Migration Control Solution
Overview Migration control and border management is a key priority for the Romanian government in its preparatory work to join the European Union. To this end, the Ministry of Interior used the Microsoft .NET Framework to implement the ‘Cobra' visa processing system. Addressing concerns about illegal immigration, the solution integrates different databases from within the Ministry and from other organizations such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
