Match.com Halves Server Farm, Doubles Speed with ASP.NET and Windows Server

Overview A proven leader in online dating services, Match.com's implementation as a huge ASP 3.0 site was harder to modify and debug than the team would have liked. In a total of 8 months, the team re-implemented and improved the site in C# with Microsoft ASP.NET. They deployed the new site on 45 computers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, replacing 104 servers running Windows 2000 operating system. The new site runs at twice the speed of the old one.
