Danish Kindergarten Management Improved with .NET Framework Windows Forms and Web Services

Overview When KMD needed to update an application for kindergarten management with an outdated user interface, it turned to the Microsoft .NET Framework, an integral component of Windows that provides a programming model and runtime for Web services, Web applications, and smart client applications. The new application was written in C# using Windows Forms, and communicates with a mainframe via Web services. It was originally distributed to 248 counties on CD, and is now being updated over the Internet.
