Insurer Enhances Agent Relations, Expands into New Markets, with Online Quote System
Overview Penn National Insurance, a major regional insurance carrier, needed a faster, easier, and more accurate way for independent agents to obtain quotes from the company. To address this challenge, the company adopted an online quote solution from AMS-Rackley which is based on Microsoft technology. The new solution enables agents to obtain quotes from the existing Penn National Insurance extranet without leaving that environment or having to download additional software or data. As a result, quotes are up significantly, evidencing the company's increased competitiveness. Penn National Insurance is also on track in reaching its strategic goal to increase its market share in the small-business segment, a market in which an online solution minimizing agent time to develop quotes is crucial. And, the company gains the agility to adjust its pricing for increased competitiveness.
