Digital Media Firm Strengthens Market Position with IBM eServer

Overview California-based VitalStream is among those leading the pack, offering reliable, quality products and services for corporate communications and customer education. VitalStream succeeds by delivering comprehensive information technology (IT) services to a wide range of customers. In addition to audio and video streaming, VitalStream offers live Webcasting, Web conferencing, media hosting, payment processing and consulting services. It wanted to upgrade existing server platform to reduce unacceptable failure rates. Initially, VitalStream used a variety of server vendors with availability a primary concern and had varying results. VitalStream selected several hundred x340 and x360 models to populate its content delivery network.
