IBM Business Partner Urban Technology Group Builds Transactional Site for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont
Overview Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont (BCBSVT) needed to provide enhanced Web-based services to its constituents to remain competitive with other health plans and to reduce the costs associated with telephone-based customer service. As a small 400-person insurer, however, BCBSVT was challenged to provide the same level of service as competitors at an affordable cost. BCBSVT asked UTG to conduct a technology assessment, which outlined the framework for a site built on Domino. Premier Member of IBM PartnerWorld for Software, UTG brought practical experience to the vision that BCBSVT had for its Web site.
