Overview American Camping Association is a community of camp professionals working at more than 2,500 summer camps attended by three million children a year. ACA’s biggest efforts goes into its virtual bookstore, an online and over-the-phone source of books, videos, and electronic texts for professional development, camp management, and career planning. But it was taking five full-time employees just to process phone transactions and re-key orders that came in through a hosted Web-based shopping cart service ACA was using. ACA opted for the reliability of the iSeries platform and WebSphere Application Server, along with DPS’s sophisticated DPS Flash(tm) e-business software.
