Arkeia Technology White Paper

Overview Arkeia is a true Client/Server application for high-speed data transfer over networks via TCP/IP. Network topology can be Ethernet (10BT, 100BT or gigabit) or Fiber Channel. The backup server runs on Linux or Unix and supports any SCSI tape device, from a single tape drive to the biggest tape library. Arkeia can also backup to a hard drive or communicate to backup devices via fiber channel or iSCSI connection. This paper presents a summary of the unique aspects of Arkeia technology and features which have led to its position as a leading enterprise backup solution.
