Overview The transition to IP telephony has begun in earnest and organizations are rapidly realizing the benefits of transporting and managing telephony and data on a single, global network. While the introduction of VoIP on an existing data network does not present significant bandwidth or management challenges, the introduction of videoconferencing does. This paper summarizes how the most challenging application, videoconferencing can be run along with voice and data on a global VPN while maintaining required service levels, and by extension, how videoconferencing services can be dramatically improved as a managed service.
