Media and Entertainment: Launching a Powerful, Global Multimedia Portal

Overview Television Broadcast Limited (TVB) enhanced and re-launched its three-year-old World Wide Web site to better address the needs of its devoted audience and provide a global Chinese-language portal. TVB.com required a Web platform that was open, reliable, secure, easy to maintain and locally supported. The new company also needed a Web platform powerful enough to meet its short term multimedia needs, yet scalable enough to handle services planned for the future. Compaq provided a complete solution - including hardware, software, storage and services - to ensure 24x7 reliability and support. Compaq provided clustered Compaq AlphaServer systems and Compaq ProLiant servers.
