Cambridgeshire County Council and the Department of Health

Overview Cambridgeshire County Council is now using mobile working technology to meet the Department of Health's requirement that all health and social service authorities work more closely when providing care to elderly people. Through gaining multi-agency commitment to integrated working and promoting the electronic sharing of patient information, care professionals now spend more time with patients, have quicker, better access to information, and can work across different IT systems with out barriers. Fujitsu became hardware and software supplier and lead integrator in a joint project to pilot the use of tablet PCs for three months.
