Ascom Archives 4 Million plus Objects in Easy-To-Access IBM system

Overview Ascom AG was facing a big problem is archiving historical business data, to solve its problems. Facing such a situation, Ascom AG, a $2 billion Swiss multinational telecommunication and service automation infrastructure provider, employed IBM ImagePlus VisualInfo for AIX (now referred to as IBM Content Manager for AIX) to archive more than four million objects, representing detailed product, customer and financial information collected over 10 years. Due to this the company reduced its annual operational and maintenance costs by 450,000 Swiss Francs (U.S. $284,000).
