Cisco - GSR: Receive Access Control Lists

Overview This paper describes a new security feature called receive access control lists (rACLs) and presents recommendations and guidelines for rACL deployments. Receive ACLs are used to increase security on Cisco 12000 routers by protecting the router's gigabit route processor (GRP) from unnecessary and potentially nefarious traffic. Receive ACLs were added as a special waiver to the maintenance throttle for Cisco IOS Software Release 12.0.21S2 and integrated into 12.0(22)S.
