MMS : Content Strategies

Overview MMS is a mobile messaging standard defined by the Third Generation Partnership Programme. From an end user perspective, it enables the addition of multimedia features, such as graphics, photos, sounds, rich text and interactive applications, to the popular SMS text messaging service. Whilst MMS requires the use of new handsets with colour screens and built-in cameras, it offers operators, and other players in the value chain, much more than merely a handset upgrade, it opens up the potential to bring radical new services to the end-user.
