Knowledge Leadership: Michigan State University and IBM Construct a Center For On Demand Supply Chain Research

Overview Michigan State University wanted to engineer a laboratory environment that enables students and faculty to simulate study and test key supply chain relationships to learn more about the dynamic flow of information and resulting interdependencies. The challenge facing on demand supply chain researchers is how to create a complex, dynamic business information flows. To create complex supply chain processes, IBM is equipping the Center with an integrated operating environment featuring open-standards-based IBM WebSphere software.
