Selling Bread per PDA
Overview Allbröd, a Swedish distributor of baked products with 21 subsidiaries, delivers to bakeries and supermarkets throughout Sweden with its 266 employees involved in distribution. In order to make the organization more efficient and less error prone, the company needed a mobile solution, which could essentially automate all deliveries, orders on site and customer contact management, and link them to the existing ERP solution developed by Navision. All transporters were equipped with Symbol handhelds and printers. Based on the database technology of iAnywhere Solutions, Allbröd developed a mobile solution together with a system company that enables the drivers to compile trips, take orders, and sell merchandise directly from their truck.
