Using IBM Cluster Systems Management (CSM) for Linux in xCAT Environments

Overview This white paper explains IBM Linux Cluster Management Strategy (CSM) and other related information with regard to CSM. IBM CSM can help reduce the total cost of ownership for cluster environments by streamlining and simplifying the management of large numbers of servers from a single point of control. CSM is now available in its third release with expanded scalability and hardware support. Many xCAT functions have been integrated into CSM, along with utilities to automate the process of migrating from xCAT to CSM.
