New Document handling Solution Dissolves Information Bottleneck For Food Service Equipment Marketer

Overview The Fischer Group’s document-handling procedures had grown inefficient and time consuming. In order to answer customer questions, outside salespeople depended on the inside sales team to physically locate a customer file folder. The result was slow response times and an information bottleneck. Using Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003, the company and it’s IT partner, Integrated Systems Solutions, was able to create a shared document workspace and overhaul the way in which it communicates and handles documents, internally and externally. The company estimates an increase in overall productivity of at least 5 percent, which could mean a savings of up to U.S. $315,000 per year.
