Overview As an emerging leader in the highly competitive information and communications technology industry, the South Africa-based AST Group found itself facing some of the same project management challenges as its customers and trying to sustain a high growth rate in a weak economy. The AST Group sought a way to help its IT Solutions division manage customers' projects more effectively and improve information consistency from a project proposal to its completion. The company turned to its Microsoft Solutions business unit, which planned and deployed the Microsoft Office Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solution to ensure enhanced information consistency from project proposal to closure. The Microsoft Solutions business unit embedded the EPM Solution in the AST Group's myAST portal, calling it myAST.EPM.
