Implementing Network Security Controls for Intrusion Prevention
Overview This white paper will describe the control processes established on a statewide network to ensure uptime, reliability, access, and configuration control. This process was applied to a frame relay network with drops in all 67 countries in Florida. This network also provides an Internet Web Portal giving the general public and other governmental users the ability to inquire and make payments on Child Support Cases, Traffic Citations, Officials Records, and other court records. This paper will also discuss security problems encountered while managing a statewide network and the process implemented for preventing network downtime while reducing the number of network support personnel.
