Overview The rapid growth of Application Services Providers (ASP) in the past few years has resulted from the increased demand for technology outsourcing. ASPs are in business to provide access to proprietary information over public telecommunication networks. In doing so, it becomes the responsibility of the ASP to employ proper security measures to ensure that the data is delivered over secure connections, and stored in a secure environment.
