Belgian National Railway Unifies IT Infrastructure

Overview Belgian National Railway (known as NMBS/SNCB) is a limited company governed by public law. Belgian National Railway Company, known as NMBS/SNCB, selected Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to consolidate logistics and administration into a single IT network, reducing cost and simplifying management. At the same time, NMBS/SNCB succeeded in guaranteeing sufficient reliability, confidentiality, and independence for its various units. Thanks to the consolidation, affecting 500 servers and 12,000 workstations, NMBS/SNCB will save 33 percent in its IT budget.
