Overview This paper describes Co-StandbyServer 2000, which is Legato Systems' next generation, high-availability solution for Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server. Co-StandbyServer 2000 is designed to protect critical data and functions on key servers within an organization. By implementing Co-StandbyServer 2000, systems administrators can couple two Windows 2000 servers together forming a cluster. As a result, each server becomes a hot spare server for its counterpart. Each server also is fully functional as a network server.
