Microsoft .NET Compact Framework Unifies Measurement Hardware, CAD Software

Overview When Arc Second needed to integrate its innovative laser-based position-sensing hardware with its award-winning mobile engineering software, it turned to the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework and Microsoft Visual C#. The resulting middleware allows any position-generating device to share its information with anyone or any application on the framework. As an additional benefit, the Compact Framework allows Microsoft Visual Basic .NET programmers to use the new objects as easily as C# programmers.
