Uponor Improves Customer Service and Inventory Management
Overview As Uponor Canada—a plastic pipe manufacturer—prepared to expand its warehouse operations, the company knew it needed to upgrade its existing inventory management system. The proprietary data collection solution in use at its main warehouse required extensive manual data entry, which resulted in errors and represented a time-consuming process for warehouse employees. Also, customer service representatives couldn’t provide customers with accurate and timely information about their orders. Uponor Canada needed an easy-to-use, browser-based solution that would provide real-time information. The company chose SYSPRO e.net solutions, an application built on the Microsoft .NET Framework and supported by Windows 2000 Server, Internet Information Services 5.0, and SQL Server 2000 Desktop Edition.
