Mid-Sized Theater Chain Builds a Secure and Reliable Communications Infrastructure with Exchange 2000

Overview GKC Theatres, with 300 screens in 32 locations in 5 states throughout the U.S. Midwest, caters primarily to smaller markets with populations of about 100,000. GKC needed to improve communications with its users in the 32 remote locations that connected to the corporate office through dial-up Internet connections. By upgrading its infrastructure to Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server from Exchange 5.5, GKC Theatres was able to reduce total cost of ownership, increase reliability and security, and communicate more effectively with its remote offices through the Internet. More effective communications also enabled the chain to build more effective teamwork within its organization and build stronger relationships with its customers.
