Overview A wholly owned subsidiary of Zaver Petroleum Corporation Limited, OPI has been involved in petroleum exploration in Pakistan since 1979. To fulfill its aim of becoming the leading player in the Pakistan energy and petroleum sector, OPI increasingly has focused on streamlining and realigning its business processes according to modern best practices. To do this, OPI realized it would need to invest in a world class MIS infrastructure. Since the early 1990s, OPI used AS/400 mid-range systems, but it recently decided to overhaul its IT resources to improve core business performance. It opted for a Windows 2000 Advanced Server infrastructure to support a full range of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i applications, including Oracle Financials, Oracle Order Management, Oracle Purchasing, and Oracle Human Resources.
