Collecting Data from Disparate Intrusion Detection System Sensors

Overview This paper considers a novel means by which disparate Intrusion Detection System (IDS) data can be inserted into a Modular Integrated Resource for Intrusion Alert and Detection (MIRIAD) compliant database. The MIRIAD architecture allows the fusion of disparate IDS output, specifically to provide interoperability of IDSs by collecting data received from a variety of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products into a common database.
