Internet-based Human Resource Solution From Accentura Empowers Motorola's Employees

Overview Motorola is a leading provider of wireless communications, semiconductors and advanced electronic systems, components and services. To enhance its human resources function, SPS worked with Accenture in developing Enet, an intranet-based virtual human resources solution. Enet helps employees across SPS in many ways. Human-resource personnel are freed up from clerical work to focus on more value adding functions, such as competency development and relationship management. Enet has greatly reduced paperwork at the Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector organization Enet provides a level of consistency that the previous paper-based process could not. Motorola expects to see savings as a result of more consistent and efficient processes, cost avoidance, improvements in data integrity and reduced process cycle time, which has dropped from two weeks to two days of less. As a result, the system is expected to pay for itself in just one year.
