MSILM Selected the Sidewinder G2 Firewall for Their Security Requirements

Overview Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance London Management (MSILM), created in 2000 in response to the needs of the London Market, provides risk solutions to blue chip companies. MSILM had a triple challenge in creating their security environment. In addition to securing their perimeter and protecting their internal network against attack, their corporate culture also demanded that Internet usage be monitored, objectionable content be blocked, and downloads of unnecessary files be restricted. Lastly, remote access, which is an integral part of their operation, had to be put into a secure framework. MSILM started out with a 250-user license for Secure Computing's Sidewinder G2 Firewall, a hybrid solution that addresses both packet-level and application-level filtering. Working with Sidewinder G2 Firewall is SafeNet SoftRemote, part of Sidewinder's VPN solution that allows users to safely connect to the Sidewinder-protected site from any location. The total solution allows MSILM to secure their perimeter, and provides them with an efficient way to deal with both incoming and outgoing traffic.
