Wipro Provides Strategic Quotation System for Life Insurance Products
Overview One of the outsourcing services customer of Wipro Technologies is UK's leading and progressive financial services groups, with more than 2.6 million individual customers. As multiple systems exist with different users within the company, there are resulting discrepancies in the quotes as also need for resources to maintain these systems. The need was felt to have a single componentised quote engine with improved capability to support new product requirements and save on time and cost. Wipro has been involved from the early stages of the project. A team from Wipro consisting of both business and technical analysts helped define and capture requirements for the enhancements to WorkBenches working closely with the business users and the IT team. Various techniques and models were used for this activity including use cases, prototypes, flow diagrams and life cycle models. Wipro will subsequently undertake activities for enhancements to current system using an offshore and model.
