Standardizing Service Delivery with Seamless Integration

Overview Veterans Affairs Canada provides benefits and services to more than 210,000 veterans at an annual cost of $1.8 billion. Veterans Affairs Canada needed an integrated information solution for administering economic support, disability pensions, and health care programs and services. The solution also had to operate in a number of locations, including the head offices in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and Ottawa; the district and regional offices across Canada; and at St. Anne's hospital in Quebec. In partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada, EDS assisted in the design, development and implementation of a client relationship management application, the Client Service Delivery Network as part of the Benefits Redesign Project. Release 1 of the Client Service Delivery Network records updates and displays client information; determines eligibility; handles income benefits; calculates and processes payments; manages overpayments and deductions; and tracks and manages correspondence.
