Leading Title Insurance Company Overcomes Scalability Challenges for Mission-Critical Solution

Overview When First American Title Insurance Company ran out of database processing power for its mission-critical FAST transaction system in the middle of a 1,200-office rollout, the company solved its scalability challenge by upgrading from an 8-processor server to a 32-processor Unisys ES7000 server running Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server. The two-week migration gave the company enough processing headroom to finish the rollout and keep the promises that it had made to shareholders, Wall Street, and analysts, with enough spare processing power to support future business growth and new business initiatives.
