WebNM Managing a MSP Environment
Overview Managed Service Providers have created an exciting new market for today's growing businesses. The key differentiator between competitors in this burgeoning space is the kind and quality of deliverables. WebNM provides a total network, application and desktop management solution that allows MSPs to deliver excellence. Because of our browser interface and commitment to open source code, WebNM is easy to setup, configure and - most importantly - maintain. This paper outlines how to use WebNM to manage different clients. Two configurations will be reviewed, each linked through the Internet with Virtual Private Network (i.e. VPN) connections to each client - Centralized Service: The MSP monitors multiple clients from a central location with one copy of WebNM, Distributed Service: Multiple clients centrally monitored through distributed polling at each client, only alarms and events are forwarded to the Central WebNM Server.
