Dell Offers Complete Solution to Coffee Health Group At a Price That Enabled Them to Serve More Users with New Hardware
Overview Coffee Health Group, a non-profit organization, provides a comprehensive range of services and programs at its three hospitals and outpatient diagnostic center. With a healthcare network that spans three northwest Alabama counties, CHG committed in mid-2001 to a complete overhaul of its clinical and financial information systems. It needed to completely replace CHG's existing computers with more than 40 Intel servers to support the new software. Additionally, CHG needed to update and expand its aging base of desktop and notebook computers within tight budget constraints. Coffee purchased 40 Dell PowerEdge servers, 500 Optiplex desktops, several Dell notebooks and 100 PowerConnect network switches. The CHG team not only easily located and ordered the equipment they needed from Dell, it was quickly delivered and installed. Like Coffee's network of healthcare facilities, Dell's fully compatible components worked together to deliver a dependable, streamlined solution.
