Paperless Storage Solution Improves Productivity and Saves on Storage Costs
Overview Numerica, a leading UK accountancy and professional services firm, is using a paperless workflow system based on Microsoft Visual Studio .NET technology. Each paper document at the firm is scanned in and flows though the system to relevant employees. In the past, almost one in 50 documents could not be immediately located. Today, they can be accessed within seconds, all staff have access to the system whether they are in the office, on the road, at a client site or working at home. A document check-in, check-out search facility ensures that documents are not buried in in-trays or misfiled. Numerica was considering renting larger premises. Moving to a paperless office has removed filing cabinets and uses space for employees, saving £140,000 a year in extra rental space.
