Lincoln Travel and Cruise Goes Places with HP Systems

Overview Phyllis Wing started Lincoln Travel & Cruise 13 years ago in Lincoln, Calif. The global distribution system (GDS) Wing has relied on since the start of her business, has also been Lincoln Travel & Cruise's technology lifeline. As the Internet flourished so did Lincoln Travel & Cruise's need to access resources outside the GDS private network. Lincoln 's six travel agents were eager to tap into the travel industry's web resources, especially the consortia that offer business advantages and buying power to members. Wing decided it was time to move from the private network to investing in technology for the agency. After doing research on many hardware manufacturers, Wing purchased HP Compaq D310 PCs for her agents and a Compaq N180 notebook for herself. Reliability and productivity have made an impact on Lincoln Travel & Cruise. Since they've had the new HP equipment they haven't had any downtime.
