Delivering Web Content to 3G Video Handsets

Overview Wireless video handsets based on 3G324M, a standard developed by the 3G community, are currently being deployed by wireless service providers for live video calling. A service to deliver generic web content to those handsets would be very valuable. This white paper examines a gateway which would be capable of delivering web content to video handset subscribers. It evaluates the effort involved in assembling the various required components, and in resolving some especially difficult issues. Specific application examples are used to illustrate the gateway in action and evaluate its potential for driving the proposed new service offering.
